Yoga also aids in reducing stress, fatigue and negative emotions. Bow pose helps eliminate toxins from the lungs, firmer chest muscles, and can be done anytime, anywhere. Bridge pose promotes chest expansion and deeper breathing. Alternate nostril breathing is a popular yoga technique for reducing stress and breathlessness caused by asthma.

The lungs have the ability to clean themselves after stopping exposure to pollutants, such as quitting smoking. Eating foods rich in antioxidants can reduce this condition. Drinking green tea, berries, turmeric milk, green vegetables, and nuts helps clean the lungs.

Families should improve indoor air quality. They can buy air purifiers to place in private rooms or use filtration equipment for living spaces. Breathing fresh air has the ability to expand the tissues in the lungs, keeping them functioning normally.
