Well, it is important to know that weight maintenance is possible when it is carried out in a controlled and responsible manner. A moderate weight loss (between a kilo and a kilo and a half a week) is the right way. An extreme diet can be dangerous, create a lot of frustration, increased hunger and a need for compensation which in the end can lead to a lack of control and above all – keep you away from the goal. An unbalanced diet can lead to a lack of energy and nutritional deficiencies that will harm health.
Don’t give in to “emotional eating”
Organizing the wedding can be accompanied by a lot of stress – a factor that in itself may lead to “emotional eating”. Enter the process from a place of excitement, self-love and inclusion and make sure to nourish your body with all the nutrients. It is worth remembering that eating healthy and balanced foods also leads to calmness and a sense of control. Serotonin is a substance secreted in the brain responsible for the mood, the emotions and the feelings of hunger and satiety. There are several foods that increase its secretion in the brain: eggs, salmon, walnuts and various seeds such as chia and flax. Including them in the daily menu can significantly improve the mood, bring relaxation and better and better quality sleep, and also instill a feeling of satiety over time.
Eat consciously
Listen to your body – this is not just a cliché. Pay attention to your feelings of hunger and satiety, plan your meals throughout the day and thus reduce the chance of unbalanced eating and snacking. Make a shopping list of a variety of foods you like, try to last the rest of the week and even try to freeze the dishes you will prepare – so that they will serve you when you don’t have time to cook.
Put together a menu consisting of balanced meals
Take care of foods that contain all the nutrients. The menu should contain proteins such as: low-fat cheeses, eggs, fish, chicken, a little red meat, multiple and varied vegetables in as many colors as possible; And also healthy fats such as: tahini, avocado, olive oil, nuts and almonds. In addition, it is recommended to combine fruits and whole grains. You should be careful about foods rich in antioxidants, such as: green leaves, berries, salmon, avocado, nuts and seeds which will contribute to the appearance of glowing skin and shiny hair.
On the day before the event, it is recommended to consume easy-to-digest meals to avoid feeling heavy or bloated. Choose foods such as grilled chicken or fish, tofu, steamed vegetables, whole grains and fresh fruit. Avoid heavy and fatty foods and excess caffeine so that you can enable good quality sleep.
By feeding your body with healthy food and maintaining physical activity in the period before the wedding, you can get through the period in a relaxed, energetic and refreshed way. Congratulations.
