Signs of sudden increase in blood pressure

Sudden headache, chest pain, fatigue, confusion… are warning signs of high blood pressure, which can be life-threatening.

Sudden high blood pressure is a condition in which systolic blood pressure (maximum blood pressure) is higher than 180 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure (minimum blood pressure) is higher than 120 mmHg. Normal blood pressure in a healthy person is around 120/80 mmHg.

Expression

– Severe headache.

– Tired people.

– Severe chest pain.

– Severe complications such as confusion, drowsiness, angina or seizures.

– Stroke, crooked mouth, paralysis, weakness on one side of the body, coma…

To solve

– In case the patient has weak breathing, no breathing or no heartbeat, immediately perform artificial respiration with chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Call an ambulance to take the patient to the nearest medical facility.

– In case the patient is in a coma, family members or first aiders should place the patient on one side to keep the airway clear.

– If the patient is still conscious, they should rest in a well-ventilated place and measure blood pressure again after 15 minutes.

Recommendation

– People over 40 years old need to monitor their blood pressure regularly to detect high blood pressure if present.

– NPatients must comply with medication, not stand or work too long in the sun, and limit sudden changes in temperature (going in and out of air-conditioned rooms, and showering immediately after returning from outside).

– Monitor blood pressure regularly to detect the disease early. If diagnosed with high blood pressure, follow your doctor’s treatment regimen and have regular check-ups.

– Maintain a healthy, scientific lifestyle to limit risk factors.

– Have a healthy diet, increase foods rich in fiber, foods containing lots of Omega-3, fatty acids. Limit foods high in fat, processed foods. Quit stimulants such as alcohol, tobacco, coffee. Maintain daily exercise.
