7 types of tea that nourish the brain and reduce vestibular disorders

Ginger, mint, cinnamon, perilla, and licorice tea contain antioxidants such as flavonoids and ginsenosides, which help reduce vestibular disorders and are good for the brain.

Dr. Hoang Quyet Tien, Medical Information Center, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, said that most teas extracted from natural herbs contain compounds such as flavonoids and ginsenosides. They can improve blood circulation to the brain, protect nerve cells, enhance memory, and support overall brain function. Antioxidants also help reduce stress, dizziness, and imbalance, thereby reducing the risk of vestibular disorders.

Ginger tea

Ginger has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that help reduce symptoms of dizziness and nausea associated with vestibular disorders. Ginger contains gingerol and shogaol compounds that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking ginger tea daily can increase alertness and is good for the brain.

Peppermint tea

Peppermint extract has a soothing effect and reduces nausea – a common symptom of vestibular disorders. Compounds in peppermint improve blood circulation and enhance brain function. This tea helps reduce vestibular symptoms while also helping the drinker stay alert.

Cinnamon tea

Cinnamon is rich in manganese, fiber, iron and calcium, so it is also considered a natural remedy to help relieve headaches and other health problems. Cinnamon tea also helps regulate blood sugar and reduce blood fat.

Perilla tea

Perilla has a refreshing scent and is often used to treat anxiety and sleep problems. It contains high amounts of luteolin which acts as an antioxidant, calming the body and mind, contributing to improved sleep quality.

Green tea

This tea is rich in antioxidants and has effective pain-relieving properties. Green tea helps reduce oxidative stress and also removes certain toxins from the body. Drinking at least two cups of green tea a day helps resolve inflammation of tissues and blood vessels, reducing headaches.

Valerian tea

Valerian contains flavonoids, which inhibit the breakdown of gamma-aminobutyric acid in the brain, have a sedative effect, reduce central nervous system activity and create a feeling of drowsiness. Valerian tea rarely causes side effects such as restlessness and hangover.

Ginkgo biloba tea

Ginkgo biloba tea, also known as ginkgo biloba, contains high levels of flavonoids and terpenoids. These are powerful antioxidants that help fight free radicals, the main cause of disease. Drinking a cup of ginkgo biloba tea every night before bed helps improve cerebral blood circulation. As a result, people with vestibular disorders can calm down, sleep easily, and avoid headaches and migraines caused by vestibular disorders.

Dr. Tien said that to reduce symptoms of vestibular disorders, patients need to have a scientific diet and lifestyle, and have a health check-up to get advice on improving headaches and insomnia. Before using herbal tea, consult your doctor, especially those who are taking medication or have other underlying diseases.

Tea users should start with a small amount to monitor their body’s reaction, and buy reputable products. Supplementing natural essences extracted from blueberry and ginkgo biloba helps increase blood flow to the brain, fight free radicals, and increase nerve connections. From there, they protect brain cells, reduce symptoms of headaches, and vestibular disorders that cause insomnia.
