Using condoms, using drugs to reduce sensitivity in the penis, maintaining a suitable weight, and doing pelvic floor exercises are ways to help men delay premature ejaculation.

Pelvic floor exercises

The male pelvic floor muscles support both bladder function and ejaculation. As we age, these muscle groups weaken, affecting urinary and sexual control. Kegel exercises aim to strengthen these pubococcygeal muscles, improving a man’s ability to delay ejaculation.

To do kegel exercises, the first step is to identify your pelvic floor muscles. When you stop peeing, the muscles used to hold in urine are your pelvic floor muscles. Your testicles will rise when you contract your pelvic floor muscles. Squeeze these muscles for 10 seconds, then relax, doing at least three sets of 10 repetitions each day.

Use desensitizing drugs

Creams, gels, and other products can reduce the sensitivity of the penis to stimulation, thereby prolonging “lovemaking”. It is important to note that these products often contain topical anesthetics, which can be dangerous if used too often or in excess. Men should follow the recommendations on the product or consult a doctor before use.

Circumcision

Circumcised men may have better control over orgasm or less premature ejaculation. Men should talk to their doctor about circumcision to decide if it is right for them.

Use condoms

Condoms can reduce the sensitivity of the penis. Condoms designed for this purpose often contain additional ingredients or ingredients in desensitizing sprays and creams. This is also one of the best ways to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.

Maintain a healthy weight

Being overweight or obese can reduce sexual performance. According to researchers, men are more likely to have premature ejaculation if they have three or more of the following conditions: high blood pressure, low levels of “good” cholesterol, a waist circumference of 100 cm or more, high blood sugar, and high levels of triglycerides (neutral fat) in the blood.

Obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes are major causes of erectile dysfunction, making it difficult for men to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual satisfaction.

Masturbate

By masturbating beforehand, men can delay ejaculation during sex. This action is also considered a form of massage therapy. Researchers have found that stimulating the base of the penis until it is ready to ejaculate and then stopping helps prolong the time of “love” afterwards.

Try another form of intimacy

If you experience premature ejaculation during penetrative sex, you can focus on other intimate activities. Rushing into sex can also be a factor in ending the act early.

According to a 2017 US study of more than 1,000 women, about 18% achieved orgasm during penetrative sex. That means other sexual activities can help both men and their partners feel satisfied.
