Draconian punishment for Serbian referees who fixed matches

Serbian handball referees, Aleksandar Pandžić i Ivan Mošorinski have been suspended for life by the European Handball Federation (EHF) for their involvement in the Champions League match-fixing scandals.

This summer Pandžić and Mosorinski were fined 2,000 euros, but the EHF insisted on another penalty for match-fixing and the executive committee approved their lifetime suspensions this week. It was to the Serbian judges’ advantage that they did not cooperate during the investigation or testify at the hearing.
