A Slovenian on the whistle and not just any Slovenian: Slavko Vincic was the referee of the last Champions League final between Real Madrid and Dortmund (2-0). He will officiate for the Arsenal – PSG match this Tuesday October 1 at 9 p.m., bringing together two undefeated teams this season, as part of the second day of the league phase of the Champions League. Since the 2020-2021 season , he has already managed several Champions League matches. In addition to a final, he has, in fact, on his CV 5 round of 16 and 3 quarter-finals for a total of 31 C1 matches since his debut in 2016. PSG will therefore be led by one of the best referees in the world for this highly anticipated shock against the Gunners.

The Parisians present last season already know him. Slavko Vincic was chosen by UEFA for the match against AC Milian in the group stage. A good memory for PSG, 3-0 winner. The French team, on the other hand, has more bitter memories of him. He had refereed the recent semi-final of the Euro France-Spain lost by the Blues of Deschamps (2-1).
