Bologna fights but Liverpool is too strong

Defeat without demerits for Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna, who fell at Anfield 2-0 against Liverpool but played a match worthy of the European stage of the Champions League. Strong game by the rossoblu, however decided by goals from Mac Allister and Salah one at a time. Bologna’s start of personality, with Dallinga finding the goal in the 9th minute, with the dig that beats Alisson, but all in an irregular position. Red and blue ring to which Liverpool responded in the 11th minute with the opening goal: Mac Allister’s introduction into the area was lethal and served in the right time by Salah he only had to push the ball into the goal to make it 1-0.

The euphoria of the Italian team was held back by the cynicism of Slot’s men, who would score again in five minutes with Nunez, but it was once again the referee’s assistant who stopped everything for offside. Initial phase of slippage from which, however, Bologna manages to emerge well, first hitting the outside post with Ndoye, then with Urbanski’s powerful shot well blocked by Alisson. Live game at Anfield, even at the start of the second half, with Bologna dangerous in the 55th minute thanks to Orsolini’s left-footed inside shot, who from a good position, however, didn’t direct the ball well. Balances that keep the partial standing until the 75th minute, when Salah starts from the left and with his left foot draws the trajectory on which Skorupski can do nothing. Liverpool doubled their lead and the game went downhill, at least from the point of view of the result, with Bologna not giving up, continuing to make themselves heard in the middle of the pitch, but without managing to score a goal that they probably deserved. Thus ends the match at Anfield, with Liverpool’s second victory – after their debut at San Siro against Milan – and a defeat, albeit without demerits, by the Emilians.
