Tomorrow the padel derby between the former Roma and Lazio players

ON the pitch four greats who have made the history of football in the Capital: Vincent Candela, Simone Perrotta, Paolo Di Canio and Stefano Fiore

A real derby but with a smile and in friendship. The special padel challenge between four great former footballers who have made the history of football in the Capital is scheduled for tomorrow at lunchtime (from 2pm onwards): Vincent Candela, Simone Perrotta, Paolo Di Canio and Stefano Fiore will be at the Mediolanum Padel Cup underway at the Villa Pamphili Padel Club, in the name of the ancient rivalry but also of fair play because first of all the four are friends and companions for fun on the padel court. The challenge is launched on the eve of the former Lazio player Fiore, who winks and – jokingly – teases his opponents by laughing: “Tomorrow we will face two little wolves who will try to sell their lives dearly but it will be hard to stop the eagles from flying….. after the first nereja we are ready to fly towards victory!”. And the response from Vincent Candela, the most Roman and Romanist Frenchman in the world, was not long in coming, who doesn’t hold back when it comes to joking and teasing friends like Fiore: “And let’s see this nereja, let’s see Stefano. … I’m just saying that the wolf cubs know how to fly on the padel court and tomorrow we will demonstrate it to the eaglets.” Fiore and Candela, friends on and off the pitch (from padel) have already been protagonists of the challenge in the Palermo stage of the Mediolanum Padel Cup, together with the 2006 world champions Marco Amelia and Simone Barone and there too they put on a show, including teasing, jokes, fun and a pretty good padel.
