Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has confirmed that he suffers “a serious cruciate ligament injury”, which occurred on Saturday in the LaLiga EA Sports victory against Villarreal, and that he will be out for several months after undergoing surgery , in addition to ensuring that he will work to “return like a beast.”

“A serious cruciate ligament injury is confirmed, I’m going to have to undergo surgery and be off the playing field for a few months. I’m already looking forward to starting the recovery and coming back like a beast. Thank you all very much for your messages, I feel very dear,” he indicated in a publication on the social network Instagram, in which he also uploaded a photograph of himself on the stretcher.

The Madrid full-back was injured in the final minutes of the league match against Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu, in a fight for the ball with Yeremy Pino. After raising his leg, he automatically put his hand on his knee amid cries of pain, and had to leave the field on a stretcher.
