Tennis – Billie Jean King Cup will be aligned with Davis Cup

The Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup tennis team tournaments will be aligned for the 2025 season. As the world association announced on Friday, in the women’s BJKC, like the men’s Davis Cup, only eight instead of twelve nations will contest the final tournament. “This is part of the long-term strategy to bring the World Cup of Tennis events closer together,” said the corresponding statement. The BJKC qualifying phase will now be held in seven groups of three teams at seven locations in April. Home and away games should return in qualifying from 2026. For men, another qualifying round with home or away games will replace the group phase in 2025.
