Business is increasing for Wissam Ben Yedder. While he must already appear before the Nice criminal court next Tuesday for “sexual assault while drunk”, L’Équipe reveals this Tuesday that the French international striker (19 caps, 3 goals) is the subject of another procedure. Targeted by a complaint from his wife in February for “psychological violence”, Wissam Ben Yedder was summoned by the Nice prosecutor’s office on December 27 to answer for his actions.
As revealed by the sports daily, his future ex-wife, who had been placed under police protection after her complaint, accuses the former captain of AS Monaco of numerous misdeeds including “threats of physical violence”, “violence severe psychological violence”, “economic violence”, “insults”, “humiliation” and “intimidation”.
A classification without further action had been decided
Placed in police custody at the end of May following the opening of an investigation, Wissam Ben Yedder emerged free but the Nice prosecutor’s office decided to initiate proceedings.
In addition to his cases of “psychological violence” and “sexual assault while drunk”, Wissam Ben Yedder is still indicted in the context of a complaint of rape, emanating from two young women. The latter accuse the native of Sarcelles and his brother of non-consensual sexual relations on the night of July 10 to 11, 2023. The attacker has always denied the facts.
