San Francisco beats Seattle Seahawks

The San Francisco 49ers scored an important victory in the NFL. The team around quarterback Brock Purdy won the division rival Seattle Seahawks 36:24. Purdy scored three touchdown passes.

San Francisco, which lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl in February, now has a balanced record of three wins and three losses. This means the 49ers are level with the Seahawks in the NFC West, who after three wins at the start of the season now suffered their third defeat in a row.

A new edition of the Super Bowl is coming up

In the direct duel, the 49ers dominated the first half and were already leading 23-3 at the start of the second. A kickoff return started the Seahawks’ comeback. But quarterback Geno Smith’s second interception set Seattle back decisively.

San Francisco brought home the win, partly because Purdy had no interceptions while throwing for 255 yards. Next week there will be a new edition of the Super Bowl duel against the still undefeated Kansas City Chiefs with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
