FC Bayern is worried about striker Damnjanovic

For Bayern striker Jovana Damnjanovic, the top game in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg ends prematurely and painfully. The 29-year-old offensive player collided heavily on her back in the 20th minute after a header duel with Wolfsburg’s defense chief Marina Hegering and was unable to continue playing.

Rescue workers rushed over and carried Damnjanovic, who had given VfL the lead through Vivien Endemann (5th minute) with a bad pass, off the pitch on a stretcher. National player Linda Dallmann replaced her (24th).
