Kalle Rovanperä reveals his big dream

A new exciting opportunity is opening up for Kalle Rovanpera.

Jyväskylä

Japanese the car giant Toyota recently announced its cooperation with the Haas team competing in the F1 series. It might open Toyota up for a rally star Kalle Rovanperä24, interesting opportunities.

“It was great news. The topic is interesting, and it’s generally a good thing for Toyota to be involved in F1,” Rovanperä said on Friday in Jyväskylä.

The two-time rally world champion is known to be very interested in track driving. He has already admitted his great desire to try F1 driving.

Even before announcing the collaboration between Toyota and Haas, Rovanperä has also revealed that he had discussions about testing an F1 car.

“The F1 test has indeed been discussed, and this Haas thing is perhaps an interesting new opportunity. “

“We hope that this would strengthen the possibility of getting to test F1”, Rovanperä stated.

How would you describe your F1 dream, what is it like? Is your idea just to get to test an F1 car, or is your dream perhaps something bigger?

“Well, I don’t know yet. Surely it still can’t be like that test. How much it (a possible continuation) depends on how [F1-autolla] then I would drive. That’s what it depends on, your own performance and whether you get the feeling that it’s nice. It [F1-autolla ajaminen] you have to experience first”, thought Rovanperä.

The collaboration between Toyota and F1 team Haas was announced recently.

This is not really a bad thing for me.

Toyota’s the management has said that with Haas it is mainly about technical cooperation.

The cooperation also includes plans for the Japanese brand’s drivers to gain experience in F1.

This was mainly referring to Japanese drivers, but it could be interpreted that the Haas cooperation does not at least weaken Rovanperä’s chances of getting to test an F1 car.

“From my point of view, this is really not a bad thing.”

In recent years, Toyota competed in F1, the royal class of motor sports, with the biggest investments, but with meager results compared to the investments. It withdrew from the F1 series at the end of 2009.

Toyota’s about cam men Akio Toyoda68, emphasized at the collaboration announcement event that Toyota is not returning to the F1 series as a factory team.

At a certain level, however, Toyota will return to F1 and it is clear that its investment may increase over time.

Rovan’s ass track racing is becoming more and more interesting. He has competed successfully this season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and Porsche Carrera Cup Italia racing series.

“I’ve really liked track driving. It’s a really different style than a rally, and you have to learn and learn new things yourself. That’s why it’s really interesting.”

Kalle Rovanperä is a versatile driver.

I’ve really liked track driving. It’s a really different style than a rally, and you have to learn and learn new things yourself.

Rovanperä was opening RTE-Motorsport’s Jyväskylän shop on Friday. RTE-Motorsport is a specialist motorsport company from Varka, where Rovanperä’s driver friend Esapekka Lappi33, has worked alongside rally driving, in which Lappi is also a partner.

Last year, Rovanperä suggested to Lapland whether RTE-Motorsport could make a drifting deal in Jyväskylä.

Esapekka Lappi, 33, has already prepared for the time after his active rally career.

Since then, the idea was refined so that a company specializing in motor sports opened a shop in Jyväskylä, where there is more than just drifting stuff. Rovanperä is a partner.

– This is something close to me and I felt good about it, Rovanperä stated.

So much so that the circle closed that the CEO of RTE-Motorsport Janne Eronen40, says that he sold a rally seat to Rovanperä’s Toyota Starlet when the rally star was still a little boy.

– I have cooperated with Janne for a long time. That’s also how it felt good to get involved in the activity, Rovanperä said.

From the future from winter, Rovanperä said he was especially looking forward to vacationing, even though he has competed in the World Rally Championship this season part-time of his own volition.

“It’s still been busy, there’s been a lot of travel,” Rovanperä said.

In winter, one of the ways to relax for him is at least snowmobiling.

“However, sledding can be more of a spring-winter thing.”

Rovanperä has said that he will drive all World Cup rallies next season.

– Next season in rallying will be a full season for me as usual, which has been my plan all along [suunnitelma]. After that, we’ll see what’s next.
