Hamilton drives the legendary Senna-McLaren in São Paulo

Record world champion Lewis Hamilton will drive a very special Formula 1 car on the legendary Interlagos circuit this weekend on the sidelines of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The 39-year-old seven-time champion will be behind the wheel of the McLaren MP4/5B on Saturday. “It will definitely be a very emotional experience,” said Hamilton on Thursday at the press conference on the Interlagos circuit: “It is impossible to stay calm.”

Senna won the 1990 World Championship with the MP4/5B and won the title three times in total. Senna had a fatal accident in Imola on May 1, 1994. In Brazil, where Hamilton has been an honorary citizen for two years, Senna is still revered to this day.
