Amorim is the new manager of Manchester United

Manchester United have made their new manager official, Ruben Amorim, who succeeds the sacked Erik ten Hag and will make his Premier League debut on 24 November at Ipswich. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach, in fact, will leave Sporting Lisbon only after the last match before the break, on 11 November: he signed a contract until 2027 and it cost 11 million to free him from the Portuguese green and whites.

“Ruben is one of the most exciting and highly regarded young coaches in European football,” the club said in a statement. The announcement came on the eve of the home match against Chelsea in which Ruud Van Nistelrooy will once again be on the bench and will return to acting as deputy after the break.
