A Baskonia without aim takes a step back in Paris

Laso’s men fall against Splitter’s men with 1/26 in the triple and get off the front wagon in the Euroleague

Baskonia lost (67-65) against Paris Basketball this Friday in the seventh day of the Euroleague, slowing down the pace of the top zone in the table of the highest continental competition, without aim or faith to change history in the options it had in the end.

With 1 of 26 in triples, Pablo Laso’s team was in the fight for victory and was able to take it with a bit of a header in the last plays. Paris missed their last three attacks, but Baskonia was not able to take advantage. Nadir Hifi was another one who punished the Spanish team and Mikael Jantunen, in the third quarter.

The first play of the last act was 1 of 18 in triples thanks to Howard, but the fuse did not light. Scoring continued to be a world for Baskonia and, while TJ Shorts played with little success against a tough Ognjen Jaramaz, Paris held on to its cushion in a disastrous finale, even more so for Laso’s men.
