Vlahovic responds to David. It’s a draw (1-1) between Lille and Juve

Juve is unable to redeem the last European defeat against Stuttgart, returning from Lille with a draw in the match of the fourth day of the Champions League. On French soil it ends 1-1 with the goals from David and Vlahovic from a penalty: Thiago Motta’s team thus rises to 7 points in the standings, as do the rossoblu who pocket their third consecutive useful result after the prestigious victories against Real and Atletico Madrid. The pace is very high from the first minutes and the match is enjoyable and close in both halves of the pitch.

The Bianconeri are the ones who are the most dangerous, in the 14th minute with a left-footed shot from Vlahovic that ends up on the back, ten minutes later instead with Koopmeiners who would have found the net if it weren’t for an offside by Vlahovic himself. From the possible guest advantage we went to the French 1-0 in a very short space of time: Zhegrova came up with a great play by sending David through on goal, who only failed to fail in front of Di Gregorio.

Juve didn’t have it and in the 34th minute responded by coming close to equalizing with Vlahovic, who made a great right-footed turn on Locatelli’s cross which was saved by a miraculous save from Chevalier. At the end of the first half, another Koopmeiners goal was disallowed, this time due to an irregular position by Yildiz. In the second half Motta’s men continued to press on the accelerator and close to the hour mark they achieved the deserved 1-1 with Vlahovic from the penalty spot, after a penalty awarded for a foul against Conceicao. The match continues on the edge of balance and uncertainty, with small potential chances on both sides but without providing many emotions: before the final whistle nothing happens anymore and the 1-1 holds.
