Orlando Magic lose fifth game in a row

The Orlando Magic ended their difficult road trip in the NBA with five defeats and no wins. The basketball team with the German brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner and Tristan da Silva lost to the Indiana Pacers 111:118 (57:61).

Franz Wagner was the game’s top scorer with 28 points, and he also had eight rebounds and six assists. Moritz Wagner also impressed off the bench with 14 points in less than 15 minutes of playing time. Da Silva started again in the absence of injured Magic All-Star Paolo Banchero and had five points and three assists.

Cavaliers are the only team still undefeated

After five difficult away games, the Magic now have another home game ahead of them, against the New Orleans Pelicans with Daniel Theis. The Pelicans lost to the league’s last undefeated team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, 122-131 on the night. The Cavaliers started a season with nine wins for the first time in their 55-year history. Theis remained scoreless in just under six minutes on the floor.

In contrast to Cleveland, the Oklahoma City Thunder suffered their first defeat of the season. Isaiah Harteinstein’s new team, who still has to wait for his competitive debut after an injury in preparation, lost to the Denver Nuggets 122:124.

Maxi Kleber is also missing from the Dallas Mavericks, who clearly won against the Chicago Bulls 119:99. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 27 points and 13 assists.

Ariel Hukporti did not play in his New York Knicks’ 116:121 defeat at the Atlanta Hawks. For the Hawks, rookie Zaccharie Risacher, who was drafted number one, scored 33 points – more than any league newcomer this season.
