Mbappé is left out of the France squad although “he wanted to come”

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé was left out of the French national team call this Thursday, prepared by the national coach, Didier Deschamps, for the second consecutive international break, according to a statement from the French Football Federation (FFF).

The ‘Bleus’ coach, Didier Deschamps, announced this Thursday his list of 23 players for the last two games of the year in the Nations League. This November, they will face Israel on Thursday, November 14 at the Stade de France (8:45 p.m.), and a visit to Italy three days later at the Giuseppe Meazza (8:45 p.m.).

The ‘Bleus’, second in their group with five points ahead of Belgium and one point behind Italy, only need a draw to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the tournament. And the coach, Didier Deschamps, called up 23 footballers for this concentration, which starts this Monday and in which Kylian Mbappé will not be there, again as in October.

The captain of the French national team no longer attended the October break to fully recover from a muscle injury, in the midst of a strong controversy when he was seen in a Stockholm nightclub coinciding with a French national team match. An attitude for which he was highly criticized in France.

Now, although he is not very successful in front of goal – only one goal in the last six games -, he is physically one hundred percent, but Deschamps has now ‘punished’ him, even though the player showed his intention to go to the concentration. “I had conversations with him and I made this decision, it’s better this way. Kylian wanted to come, it’s not because of extra-sports problems,” the coach wanted to clarify at a press conference.

Thus, the squad includes goalkeepers Mike Maignan, Brice Samba and Lucas Chevalier; the defenders Jonathan Clauss, Lucas Digne, Wesley Fofana, Theo Hernandez, Ibrahima Konaté, Jules Koundé, William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano; the midfielders Eduardo Camavinga, Mattéo Guendouzi, N’Golo Kanté, Manu Koné, Adrien Rabiot and Warren Zaïre-Emery; and the attackers Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani, Christopher Nkunku, Michael Olise and Marcus Thuram.
