VfB striker Undav suffers a thigh strain

Despite being substituted against Atalanta Bergamo due to injury, national soccer striker Deniz Undav may be able to play for VfB Stuttgart again on Sunday. The 28-year-old suffered a strain on the back of his left thigh, the Swabians said. A use in the Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday (5.30 p.m./DAZN) is “questionable, but not ruled out”.

There is also a slight all-clear for national coach Julian Nagelsmann, at least for the time being. Despite the injury, Undav is in the German national soccer team’s squad for the upcoming Nations League games against Bosnia-Herzegovina on November 16th and in Hungary three days later.

In VfB’s Champions League game against Atalanta Bergamo (0-2), Undav left the field in the second half on Wednesday evening due to muscular problems.
