Fiorentina beats Verona 3-1 thanks to Moise kean

Fiorentina achieved its sixth consecutive success in the championship and for a few hours enjoyed the top of the championship together with Atalanta and Napoli. It wasn’t an easy task for the Gigliati to bring home the three points but Moise Kean, who reached twelve goals in total this season (one with the national team, which he will reach in the evening in Coverciano), took care of it, allowing Palladino’s Tuscans to get the better of a tough Verona.

The progress of the match sees the home team immediately trying to put the match on the back foot, taking the lead already in the 4th minute, when Ranieri in a tackle recovers the ball outside his own penalty area, serves Beltran who leads up to 30 opponents meters and serves Kean, who pierces the Scaliger defense centrally and beats Montipò. Zanetti’s team did not give up and in the 17th minute made the most of a ball lost by Bove and with Serdar struck De Gea from outside the area. Verona’s subsequent strategy is clear: cover every space as much as possible with as many men as possible and try to restart.

Fiorentina struggled to create important opportunities despite having control of the game. Kean was needed once again to bring his team forward just before the hour mark by correcting a corner from the left taken by Adli into the goal. Down one goal Zanetti decides to bring in fresh forces by first inserting Mosquera and Belahyane, then Kastanos and Sarr. However, it was Coppola’s header that frightened all of Franchi on the threshold of the final quarter of an hour. Palladino understands the signal and sends two full-backs onto the pitch to act as if they were wingers, all moments before Kean devours the third goal. The striker from Vercelli, however, had the opportunity to make up for it in injury time by delivering the final success to Fiorentina and taking home the ball with the signatures of all the players.
