Ranieri from Friedkin, towards the turning point for the Roma bench

Claudio Ranieri to London to meet And Ryan Friedkin. It could be the turning point for the Roma bench. The news comes on the eve of the day that could be decisive in resolving the new crisis opened with the dismissal of Ivan Juric at the end of Roma-Bologna. The comparison with Ranieri, according to what Adnkronos is able to reconstruct, is a step that could close the circle.

There would have already been several contacts and a discussion would also have been open regarding the hypothesis, then temporarily set aside, of imagining a role as technical director for Ranieri. There had been talk of the possibility of strengthening the technical area with the simultaneous return of Daniele De Rossi.

Now the picture could have changed and among the hypotheses on the table there would be several possible schemes: from returning to the bench as ‘ferryman’ to lead the team to finish the season and then moving behind the desk, at this point more probable, to the confirmation of a managerial role immediately, with another coach on the bench. In the second case, the names at stake could still be those of Vincenzo Montella and Rudi Garcia, without completely excluding the possibility of a sensational ‘rehabilitation’ of Daniele De Rossi.

What now seems established is that Claudio Ranieri, Roman and Roma fan, is the profile chosen to manage one of the most difficult passages in Roma’s history. If this were the case, the internal push would have prevailed, with Ryan Friedkin as the main sponsor, for a solution that can reunify the environment without exposing the team to the risk of further traumatic grafts. The fixed-term contract would leave the door open for a more thoughtful choice in the future. (By Fabio Insenga)
