Paul Pogba will not return to wear the Juventus shirt: as had been in the air for a few weeks, the parties have decided to part ways although on 7 October the Tas reduced the French midfielder’s disqualification for doping. “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have mutually agreed on the termination of the sporting performance contract, starting from 30 November 2024 – reads a short note from the Juventus club – The club would like to wish Paul the best for his professional future”.
Delight in his first Juventus adventure from 2012 to 2016, Pogba had become a cross upon his return to Turin in 2022 due to an injury to a lateral meniscus followed by incorrect management of the injury and subsequent relapses, then the positivity to testosterone in a check carried out after the away match won by Juventus against Udinese on 20 August 2023, on the first day of the championship. Disqualified for 4 years, Pogba had his ban reduced by the Tas to 18 months, with the possibility of returning to the field from March 11th, on the threshold of his 32nd birthday. He will do it but with a different shirt than the black and white one.
