Two touchdowns for St. Brown, ninth win for the Lions

Amon-Ra St. Brown scored two more touchdowns in the NFL and once again underlined the Detroit Lions’ claims to a Super Bowl participation. In the dominant 52:6 against the overwhelmed Jacksonville Jaguars, St. Brown was successful in the eighth game in a row – which was also the Lions’ eighth win in a row. No team in the National Football League is currently in such good shape. St. Brown caught all eleven balls thrown to him and finished the game with 161 yards gained after passes. No team has scored more points in a game than the Lions so far this season.

In a consistently convincing Lions team, other players besides St. Brown knew how to shine: Running back David Montgomery scored two touchdowns through running plays, quarterback Jared Goff also had outstanding values: 24 of 29 passes were received, he threw for a total of 412 yards, gaining space and delivering the pass for four touchdowns. Before Goff was rested in the final quarter, the Lions scored a touchdown at the end of each offensive series – and allowed the Jaguars only two field goals.

Detroit leads the NFC with nine wins from ten games

With nine wins from ten games, the Lions remain at the top of the NFC and therefore have the best prospects of home advantage in the playoffs. The strongest pursuers are the Philadelphia Eagles with one more defeat.
