Volleyball association no longer wants to use X

The German Volleyball Association (DVV) will no longer use owner Elon Musk’s short message service X. “The platform has lost its relevance for us, especially in view of its developments in the last few months,” the association told the dpa when asked. “After carefully monitoring the changes that have taken place since Elon Musk took over, we have made a conscious decision to discontinue use of X.”

The DVV has not used its channel, which currently has around 24,000 followers, since March and is not planning to restart it. Most recently, the Bundesliga soccer team FC St. Pauli, among others, announced that they no longer wanted to use the platform and associated this with sharp criticism of Musk.

VfB Stuttgart is also worried

It was said that Musk had “converted X into a hate machine” and had already “actively supported” Donald Trump in the US election campaign. “It can be assumed that VfB Stuttgart was also concerned about the developments.
