American Football – Amon-Ra St. Brown leads Detroit to 52-6 victory

When Jared Goff was supposed to talk about Amon-Ra St. Brown, the Detroit Lions quarterback really went into raptures. “Towards the end I felt like we could call anything and he would get free,” Goff said of his teammate after the 52-6 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, “he was ready and delivered.”

While dismantling the opponent, the German-American caught eleven of eleven passes for 161 yards of space – a personal best in the NFL professional football league. The 25-year-old also scored two touchdowns and the wide receiver scored in the end zone for the eighth time in a row. Detroit has 9:1 wins, no other team is better. St. Brown is only the third player in club history to have a game with at least ten catches, 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He is also third in the franchise’s history thanks to his 18th game with 100 or more yards gained. The head coach is thrilled. “And then there is our rock, St. Brown,” said Dan Campbell on Sunday: “You can put it where you want, where you need it. He’s got it.”
