Mikael Granlund was sent for examinations

There was worrying information about the Finnish star of the San Jose Sharks.

Philadelphia

Crazy the San Jose Sharks, who are playing in the early season Mikael Granlund, 32, had a tough time last Thursday night against the Dallas Stars.

Dallas kit Ilya Ljubuskin rolled the Finn up in San Jose’s offensive zone in the closing moments of the third period, when the Sharks were looking for an equalizer in a 2–3 deficit.

Granlund stayed to collect himself after the break, leaned on his knees and then skated at a quiet pace for the change.

The Finn tried to return to the rink soon, but the judges disagreed and directed Granlund to the shelter of the locker room. Granlund already had time to regroup for the start at the winger’s place in the central area, but the referees escorted the Finn out of the rink.

It appeared that Granlund was being sent for concussion tests. The NHL has individuals working face-to-face to monitor match events for concussions both at the league’s office in New York via televised image and also on site at the arenas.

These concussion monitors will submit players for tests if they notice any worrisome signs. These can be, for example, a slow rise from the ice after a fall or balance problems.

The referees apparently got a message from the observers that Granlund needs to undergo investigations. Granlund protested his fate, but it didn’t help. The Finn never returned to the ice. There were only a couple of minutes left in the match.

Dallas scored a couple of goals at the very end of the match and won the match 5–2. San Jose did not comment on Granlund’s condition after the game.

Granlund played a key role in both of San Jose’s goals. He scored his team’s first underweight and made a spectacular pass by Jake Walman a hit.

Granlund has scored 22 (9+13) points in 21 games.

Dallas too Roope Hintz made the power points 1+1, and reached Carolina to the same power points I’m Sebastian in Philadelphia. Carolina claimed the points from the away side with a score of 4–1.

Aho’s hit was the winning goal of the match. He made club history. Aho has now scored the most goals in Hurricanes history, as the Finn passed with his 58th winning goal by Ron Franciswho currently serves as the GM of the Seattle Kraken.
