Paolini-Sramkova 6-2, 6-1
Paolini devastating in the first set. The Italian, number 4 in the world, clearly prevailed 6-2 over Sramkova, 43rd in the WTA ranking, placing two breaks, one in the sixth and one in the last game. Jasmine is lucid even when the Slovakian tries to increase the pace and creates a break point in the fifth game, which is however immediately canceled out by the Italian, who thus closes the set in just 37 minutes of play.
In the second set Paolini immediately manages to steal serve in the second game, but suffers a counterbreak from Sramkova. The Italian did not lose her composure and scored another break in the next game, taking advantage of the Slovakian’s growing nervousness to take the lead in the score. Paolini once again steals service from her opponent in the sixth game and closes the set with a clear 6-1, making the Azzurri’s joy explode.
