Out of place? Why ski star Marcel Hirscher won’t give up now

Statements like these leave the Rumor mill simmer and promptly is over the early resignation after Sensations-Comeback speculated. But what did everyone expect?

That Marcel Hirscher would come back after a five-year break and hey presto immediately back to his old self were? That at 35 he would seamlessly continue where he left off at 30?

Hirscher lives through it in his second career a phase that he only knew about from hearsay in his early career. And if you listen to him more closely, he seems to have expected that not everything would come easily to him. “That’s part of this journey. It’s a big challenge for me, and that’s what it was all about.”

Hirscher will now make the long journey to Giant slalom in Beaver Creek save. Then come the races and slopes that he likes: Val-d’Isèrewhere he celebrated seven victories and Alta Badiawhere he was even successful eight times.

Of course Marcel Hirscher won’t give up prematurely. That’s what he is for way too ambitioushe invested too much in this project. He also rides on boards from Van Deer, his own company. What would it look like if Marcel Hirscher couldn’t achieve any success with his own skis?
