New president of the financially troubled riding association

The financially and personnel-stricken German Equestrian Association (FN) has a new president. Martin Richenhagen was elected at the general meeting in Warendorf. The 72-year-old was the only candidate. Richenhagen worked in the USA for several years as boss of the agricultural machinery manufacturer AGCO.

The riding association has recently been in turmoil. Last year there was a deficit of 976,000 euros and the finance director was fired. President Hans-Joachim Erbel then resigned. Other board members followed. Richenhagen recently described the association as a “restructuring case”.
