Motor racing, registrations open for the 2025 Alpine Cup

Registrations have opened for the Coppa delle Alpi by 1000 Miglia 2025, which returns to its usual winter location after the 2024 edition, which exceptionally took place in May in parallel with the ambitious project of Il Grande Viaggio Alpino, in support of the communities of macroregion of the same name.

In 2025 the Alpine Cup will once again become an exciting challenge in a challenging climate, combined with the unique mountain panoramas that only the Alps can offer, all under the aegis of the 1000 Miglia style. Awaiting the crews are 94 Time Trials and 8 Medium Trials along a route of approximately 900 kilometers to be covered in three stages, crossing the borders of Italy, Switzerland and Austria.

The event will begin on Wednesday 12 March in the heart of Brescia, where the technical and sporting checks will take place in the afternoon and, following this, the 32 qualified crews will compete in exciting 1 vs 1 challenges valid for the City of Brescia Trophy.

The following day the race will officially begin: after the start from Brescia, the crews will reach Val Camonica and stop in Tirano for lunch. In the afternoon, the cars will go up the Valtellina to Bormio and then Livigno, with the gem of the Snow Time Trials at the top of the Eira Pass. Taking the Munt la Schera tunnel, the event will enter Switzerland and continue to the first stage finish line, St. Moritz. On Friday 14th, having traveled through Val Müstair, we will return to Italy and through the Resia Pass the convoy will arrive in Austria.

The town of Stams will host the lunch, after which the cars will descend from Innsbruck and return to Italy from Brenner, to conclude the stage in Bressanone. The last day of the race will include the crossing of the Gardena and Pordoi passes and lunch in Baselga di Pinè. The final finish line will await the crews on Passo del Tonale, followed by the awards ceremony in the splendid scenery of the glacier at Capanna Presena. There will be 7 guarantees of admission to the 1000 Miglia 2026 up for grabs.

The deadline for formalizing registration is set at 4:00 pm on Friday 7 February 2025. Cars built up to 1990 will be admitted to the event and confirmation of acceptance will be communicated by 14 February.
