City is still in the doldrums and PSG cannot beat Bayern

Manchester City let the victory slip away (3-3) this Tuesday against Feyenoord and extended its poor streak of results, within a Champions League phase in which it is not far enough, while the outlook is even worse for Paris Saint-Germain who lost (1-0) against Bayern Munich and has four points out of 15.

After five days, Inter Milan maintains the lead with 13 points, after a 1-0 against RB Leipzig where Castello Lukeba’s own goal was worth it around the half hour mark. Simone Inzaghi’s men relaxed early and put in a discreet performance that did not make the German team pay.

The needy Leipzig, with zero points, demonstrated the lack of goals and confidence that it has suffered in European competition and in the last Bundesliga games. Meanwhile, Bayern took advantage of the second day in a row at the Allianz Arena to add three points that place them at 9, somewhat closer to earning a place in the crossroads.

Vincent Kompany’s men also did so against a PSG in 26th position with the day remaining. Things went better for Arsenal, who beat Sporting (1-5), with goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard, with Spanish prominence in Mikel Merino and saves from David Raya. Mikel Arteta’s men are thus placed in the ‘Top 8’, with Wednesday’s games remaining, with nine points, equal to a Sporting team that suffered its first defeat.

Atalanta remains undefeated, with 11 points, after beating Young Boys 1-6, while Bayer Leverkusen also excelled (5-1) against Salzburg, with a great goal from a free kick by Alejandro Grimaldo and another goal from Aleix García. With nine points, after three consecutive victories, AC Milan was placed, which suffered a painful victory (2-3) against Slovan Bratislava.
