Showcase project against lack of exercise: EU award for Austria’s UGOTCHI

Great European recognition for the Sports Union Austria: The Initiative UGOTCHI – Score with classwas announced on Tuesday evening at a gala in Brussels with the #BeActive Award awarded in the “Education” category.

This prestigious award, presented by the European Commission honors every year projects that are particularly committed to promoting a active and healthy lifestyle engage.

The “Education” category focuses on initiatives that – like UGOTCHI – Children and young people inspire to do so, even outside of school lessons to be physically active and Movement in your everyday life to integrate.

“We are particularly proud that our work with UGOTCHI is now receiving the recognition it deserves at a European level,” said Sportunion Vice President Michaela Huber who accepted the award. “This project is not only a milestone in promoting sustainable physical activity in primary schools, but also a model that could set a precedent across Europe,” she adds.
