The fighter from Curitiba Daiane Silvabetter known as Lady Dai, is back in Brazil after going through tense moments in London, England. Two months ago, the athlete was in an induced comaafter an unsuccessful weight cut process for his Bellator debut.
Last month, the OneTwo Sports followed the case of the fighter, who would have her first fight in Bellator on September 14th. The woman from Paraná felt ill during the weight cut to reach the weight limit. 66,2 kga category in which he had never competed in his career.
With signs of severe dehydration, the athlete from CM Systemfrom Curitiba, was placed in a medically induced coma upon arriving at the hospital, where she remained for around two months.
Back in the capital of Paraná, Daiane has been carrying out her rehabilitation in the Cabral neighborhood. As determined by OneTwo Sportsthe athlete no longer has limitations, but has been undergoing physical therapy to recover her movements.
Fighter received support from Bellator in Europe
In an interview with the website “Uncrowned”, the fighter’s manager, Alex Davis, confirmed that Bellator provided full support to the athlete during the period she was hospitalized in England.
According to the report from a close source, Daiane weighed around 76 kg when she accepted the fight against Give Almudhaf with just 15 days notice – normally a training camp lasts at least three months.
