Biathlon|Suvi Minkkinen took the podium in Kontiolahti.
Biathlon skier Suvi Minkkinen29, achieved a great performance in the World Cup women’s 7.5 km race in Kontiolahti.
Minkkinen took third place in the competition. No missed shots were recorded for Minkki in the competition.
“The legs were eaten for that flat part at the end of the race. In a way, it’s a shame that the final draw wasn’t quite as strong. It was an amazing race and it was a joke how excited you were to ski for that audience. I had to keep my own emotions together a bit, so that I could still focus on skiing,” Minkkinen said in an interview with Yleisradio.
“The shooting conditions weren’t really difficult. It was windy, but the alignments have been successful, there have been clear lines,” continued Minkkinen in an interview with Yleisradio.
The competition beat the Czech Republic Marketa Davidovato whom Minkkinen lost by 11.9 seconds. Sweden took second place Elvira Öbergwho lost to Davidova by 8.8 seconds.
Broadcast expert, former biathlon star Kaisa Mäkäräinen41, also mentioned the good success of the Finnish team’s ski maintenance team in connection with Minkkinen’s feat.
