LASK needs the perfect game against Fiorentina

LASK is dependent on a victory against its strongest opponent. With Fiorentina, Linz will meet the 2023 and 2024 finalists today, Thursday, (6.45 p.m./live ServusTV, Sky). The “Viola” from Florence is currently experiencing good times in Serie A.

LASK only has two points from four games and is worried about the play-offs. “We are playing against a top Italian team that is performing very well. But we know that anything is possible in a game,” said playmaker Robert Zulj.

“All in” in Florence

The plan is mapped out: On December 19th in the home game against Vikingur Reykjavik, LASK still wants to have the chance of overwintering in the European Cup. According to Zulj, the athletes in Florence want to go “all in”. “That means being very focused and not making any mistakes. We need a perfect game.”

For coach Markus Schopp it is also a journey into the past. He once played with Brescia at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence. “We know the starting situation and know that we probably need a win. That’s how we want to play the game.”
