Leganés repeats as host of the Spanish Women’s Soccer Super Cup

The Municipal Stadium of Butarque will once again be the scene of the ‘final four’ of the Spanish Women’s Football Super Cup, which will be held from January 22 to 26, 2025, following the agreement reached by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). ) with the Leganés City Council (Madrid) and with the host entity of the field, CD Leganés.

Thus, the Pepinero fiefdom will host this tournament with the participation of FC Barcelona, ​​Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid. The first semifinal will be on the 22nd at 7:00 p.m. and will face Barça, as last year’s League and Queen’s Cup champion, and Atlético, third in the 2023/24 league championship.

The other ‘semi’ will be played the next day, January 23, and at the same start time. Real Madrid, runner-up in the League, and Real Sociedad, runner-up in the Cup, will star in the second duel of this event that “promises strong emotions and always gives great moments”, according to the press release released this Wednesday by the RFEF.

The final will be held on Sunday, January 26, starting at 12:00 p.m., in a stadium inaugurated in 1998 and with capacity for just over 12,000 spectators. Finally, the same press release highlighted that all the matches of this Super Cup can be followed on Spanish Television’s La 2 and also on the RTVE Play platform.
