Ralli: Esapekka Lappi revealed the family tragedy to MTV

Rally star Esapekka Lappi opened up in an interview with MTV.

Finnish rally ace Esapekka Lappi drove only part of the World Series in the season that ended, because he wanted to give time to his family.

Lapilla, 33, has Pine tree- with his wife, three children and family has always been important to him. There is also a tragedy in the background, from which Lapland opened The MTV in an interview recently.

“Our first child was born in such a way that the pregnancy was terminated because he had a severe developmental disorder. He would not have been able to live in this world. Pinja had to give birth to him, and this little boy was in the palm of our hands. It changed the priorities,” Lappi told MTV.

“The rally is of course important, but it’s not the most important thing.”

With the ending in the season, Lappi drove five World Cup rallies in the ranks of Hyundai. The highlight was the Swedish rally, which Lapland won. The first place was the second of his career.

Currently, Lapland does not have a contract for next season. The World Series starts with the Monte Carlo rally in January. Last season’s teammate from Lapland is defending the championship Thierry Neuville.
