Stefan Kraft won the first competition in Oberstdorf ahead of his teammates Jan Hörl and Daniel Tschofenig.
With two victories in the most recent competitions in Engelberg and a total of 18 podium places in this World Cup season, the ÖSV Adler recently set the bar high before the 73rd Four Hills Tournament, which began on Sunday in Oberstdorf, Bavaria. In qualifying for the first competition on Saturday, five Austrians were even ahead.
And lo and behold: The Eagles withstood the self-imposed pressure and celebrated a brilliant triple victory at the start. Stefan Kraft won ahead of Jan Hörl and Daniel Tschofenig, who made it onto the podium with a dream jump from seventh place in the second round. The German World Cup leader Pius Paschke, who was third after the first jump, finally slipped to fourth place.
