Darts: Luke Littler is the world champion

I played darts prodigy Luke Littler17, has won the world championship in the sport. As usual, the World Cup tournament was played at the turn of the year in Alexandra Palace in North London, or more familiarly in “Ally Pally”.

Littler beat his Dutch opponent Michael van Gerwenin35, erin 7–3.

The match was strongly in Littler’s possession from the start. He won the first four rounds in showmanship. Little by little, van Gerwen also started to get into the game and managed to reduce the situation.

However, Littler withstood the pressure, did what was necessary and claimed the championship. Littler is known as a mentally strong competitor.

“Littler won’t be watching if he misses the sector. He calculates very quickly what he will do next”, executive director of the Finnish Darts Association Veijo Viinikka characterizes the young man.

Littler already made global headlines at last year’s World Cup tournament, where he stormed to the finals at just 16 years old. At that time, however, he had to bow to his namesake Luke Humphriesille.

This year, Littler has played so strongly that he was among the biggest favorites to win the World Cup in advance. The youngster has already earned more than a million pounds early in his career.
