Three people arrested for attacking police officers after the match between Valencia and Real Madrid

The National Police have arrested two men and a woman for attacking several officers this Friday after the end of the football match between Valencia CF and Real Madrid at the Mestalla stadium.

At the end of the match, around 11:15 p.m., several fans of both fans crossed paths and there was an attempt at a confrontation inside the stadium in tower A, as reported by the Police Headquarters.

The Police Intervention Unit agents who were at the scene urged the suspects to stop their behavior and vacate the stadium, since the evacuation of the stadium is a “crucial” moment for security.

One of those arrested continued with a “hostile” attitude and attacked one of the police officers with a punch. The officers were subduing and detaining the suspect when the other two detainees began to attack the police officers with kicks and punches.

At one point, in addition to punching and scratching her, the detainee bit one of the police officers on the arm. Likewise, during the search of his belongings, a narcotic substance was seized from one of the detainees.

After the attacks, four agents required medical assistance for having been injured.

The suspects, two men and a woman, aged 20, 29 and 35 and of Spanish nationality, have been arrested for attacking law enforcement agents.

During the security device carried out, 21 minutes of proposal for sanction for violation of the Sports Law 19/2007 have also been carried out, as well as two minutes of proposal for sanction for violation of the Organic Law of Citizen Security 4/2015.
