Coritiba announced the young man Caio Matheus20 years old, as a new reinforcement for the season. The striker was signed permanently from São Paulo. The player is Coxa’s fourth signing.
Caio Matheus played just two games for the São Paulo Tricolor main team. He even scored a goal, against Ayacucho, in the 2022 Copa Sudamericana. However, the striker suffered a serious knee injury when he was defending the Brazilian under-20 team.
Since then, he returned to play for São Paulo’s under-20 team, where he participated in winning the Brazilian Cup in the category. In 2024, Caio Matheus scored four goals and provided five assists in 41 games played.
