Zrinka: I didn’t even celebrate the first victory, I will this one! This is the beginning of the story of conquering the globe

– A lot of fans came, and their appetites are big. I knew there were a lot of them, but there are a lot of external factors that affect the result. Realistically, I can’t hope to win in the giant slalom, but as soon as I put on my slalom skis, I know I’m there. On Saturday morning I was a little carried away, I thought I could do it in the giant slalom, after all, the victory in Semmering also brought the pressure of expectation, but this is a big step for self-confidence, it will be easier further on.

Who all came to cheer?

– More č family members than ever, both grandmothers, grandfather, uncle with čvarci, haha! This slope suits me.

After the triumph, she said into the microphone that this is just the beginning. Čego?

– The beginning of a beautiful story and results. I believe that one day I will win the globe. Big or small? To begin with, small. But I must not relax now, there are still many races. After the first victory, I was not aware of everything and I wanted to experience the joy like others, I wanted to celebrate one more time, to experience it.

Well, what kind of celebration is waiting for you?

– Let’s go to some dinner. I don’t drink, so we won’t celebrate that way. So far, haha. And on Monday there is training here – she concluded.

– This was more stressful than Semmering, but she showed mental strength, that č she is kind in her head. It is great that we have the world’s leading female skier, but we will think about it in spring at the earliest, now the most important thing is that she is healthy and we go from one ride to another. Under the pressure of the fans at the beginning on Sljemen, she did not react well, but now it was excellent.
