Torino-Parma ends without goals (and with few emotions)

Another 0-0 draw arrives in the afternoon of Serie A: Parma and Torino do not get hurt in what, after the success of Cagliari, has become a battle of salvation. After having paid homage to the great former Aldo Agroppi with two banners (“Hello Aldo, example of Granata tremendismo” and “Thanks Aldo, the ’76 championship also bears your name“), the Olimpico-Grande Torino encourages its heroes. Vanoli dusts off Vlasic and Ilicic, confirming Karamoh with Che Adams, while Pecchia surprises: second bench in a row for Bonny, the striker is Mihaila. The Romanian himself, still without a goal in Serie A, he risks breaking the deadlock in the 9th minute: a through ball from Cancellieri after an intoxicating move and a touch on the net.

Everything is at a standstill, however, due to an offside from the former Lazio and Verona players. Taurus responds immediately, but Suzuki builds a wall: amazing double save on Adams. From here on the match becomes more tactical and Torino is no longer able to break through on the right with Lazaro and Vlasic, exposing themselves to some counterattacks. From one of these, in injury time, Hernani’s attempt was born: nothing to be done, the shot was high and we went to half-time at 0-0.

Vanoli loses Ricci due to a muscular problem, while Pecchia brings in Bonny. The Frenchman is immediately dangerous and challenges Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, while in the 65th minute Mihaila hits the post. Substitutions follow one another and Toro wakes up, but Balogh anticipates Vlasic. In the final, both teams were safe and made a lot of mistakes, with Toro having a sensational chance in the 95th minute: a great save by Suzuki to avoid Linetty’s winning goal from distance. It ends 0-0 at the Olimpico and the point, in reality, doesn’t really satisfy anyone. Vanoli and his team rise to 21 points, Parma to 19: Lecce and Cagliari, the third to last, are on 17. The relegation fight risks heating up further, with many clubs involved below the top 10 of Serie A.
