Badosa overcomes Stearns and advances to the round of 16 in Adelaide

But here her wrist did not tremble and she remained firm on her serve, to close the victory by breaking the American’s serve in the twelfth game (7-5). Now, the Catalan will face the winner of the duel between the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk and the North American Ashlyn Krueger in the round of 16.

For her part, the Galician Jessica Bouzas did not have a good debut in Hobart (Australia), who fell to the Argentine María Lourdes Carlé in three sets (6-3, 3-6 and 6-0) in just over two hours of game.
