The Japanese tennis player and four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka and her long-time partner, the US-Rapper Cordaehave separated.
“Hello everyone, I just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer a couple,” said 27-year-old Osaka on the online service Instagram late Monday evening. There is “no bad blood,” assured Osaka, who had been with the musician since 2019. In 2023 the couple had a daughter, Shai.
“He’s a great person and a great father. I’m really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my greatest blessing and I’ve grown a lot thanks to our shared experiences,” Osaka said. She added a red heart emoji to the message. She did not say when the separation took place.
Osaka announced her separation a few days before the start of the Australian Open known that start on Sunday. She is currently ranked 50th in the world.
