Barcelona opens the Spanish Super Cup against Bilbao

Barcelona’s German coach, Hansi Flick, hopes to win his first title since he took over as coach of the Catalan team last summer, in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, when he meets Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Barcelona regained the services of its Uruguayan centre-back, Ronald Araujo, after an injury that kept him out of the field for a long time, as he participated in the match against Barbastro from the fourth division (4-0) in the round of 32 of the King’s Cup competition last Saturday. Despite topping the league for a long time, a series of bad results in the last two months pushed Barcelona to fall to third place, and winning the Super Cup would be a great morale boost.
