Leon Draisaitl’s impressive point streak in the NHL has come to an end. The national ice hockey player won 4-0 against the Boston Bruins with his Edmonton Oilers. However, the striker remained without a scorer point for the first time in 14 games in a row. Nevertheless, the Cologne player still clearly leads the top scorers list in the best league in the world with 29 goals. The Oilers also cemented their place at the top of the Pacific Division.
Moritz Seider won a German NHL duel in the East against Tim Stützle. Seider’s Detroit Red Wings beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 after overtime and celebrated their fifth win in a row. In the Atlantic Division, the Red Wings moved within one point of the recently weak Senators. Ottawa striker Stützle prepared the score to make it 2-1 – but the home team celebrated in overtime.
